Skills to maximise inclusion through interpreting and mediation project is funded by Erasmus Plus. There are 6 partners in the project, UK, Bulgaria, Greece, Germany, Italy and Sweden. We are producing a training course which is composed of 18 hours to be delivered face-to-face and the remainder of the course takes place on our Web platform as online learning.
The objectives of the SMIIM course are to equip trainers to effectively train interpreters and cultural mediators to thus break down language barriers and employ the platform to engage distance learning and be accessible for learners.
The duration of the course will vary from country to country based on their local settings. Each lesson will be between an hour to two hours.
Upon completion of the course, participants will be given a badge as recognition of achievement.
